Kyearsley
caught this smallmouth late spring while shore pounding the colorado river, didn't bring my scale. I decided to mark my rod and messurred it later at 23 inches, definitely my pb smallmouth. Any guesses on the weight? bigbass45
I have caught quite a few at 20-21" that are usually about 4.25 to 4.5#s, My buddy this spring got a skinny 23" that went 4.8# Hope that helps. You could probably call it 5 but like Daniel said you never know exactly. I have been after the 5 mark on a smallie for a few years but have not hit it yet. Carry a scale and good luck on your next 5ish or bigger. Kyearsley

Noreaster603
that is a tank smallie congrats, at 23" you got to be around the 5lb mark my guess is a 1/4 lb on either side of that.
