Any rock experts/ biologist on here?

I fly fish the same creek in Yosemite every year, and the past few years we have found these little rocks, that almost look like old eggs. What's more interesting is that we always find them split in half, about a foot or two away from each other, never separated. They almost look like tiny hard boiled eggs, anyone have an idea what they are? Here are some pictures, was hard to get a good picture cause of how small they are
