Build a little side console with dry storage then you can put your electronics on it

Ya, I thought this, but need to keep it light. If I didn’t need to keep it light I’d have a rod locker with the electronics on the outside of it.

still might try it though haha

I think the more weight you get in the back the better you could build a little radio box with one speaker for some background noise

Little update, built a small box-thing to hold a 12v power accessories power strip and a couple cup holders.

Power strip will go on the inside face of the top, and cup holders down low. And obviously carpet.

Been crazy at work, progress has been slowed!

I dig it man, can’t wait to see what the finished boat will look like.

im on the fence about grabbing something similar like a 1448 Jon boat or building my other crawdad into a solo “bass boat style”

Lil more carpet, and some wiring and interior is done. Working on some wheels for the rear right now.

Lil update, got the 12v strip installed, some cupholders and the carpet. Only 1 screw in each panel right now to make sure fit is right.

The top panel is removable so I can access wiring and route more wires kind of like a junction box.

Ground down all the old sealant around the outside of the rivets. I think it was old 3m 5200, looked like gunshot holes.

Then I resealed with loctite Marine sealant, every single one on the bottom of the boat. I've done this many many years ago, not hard just time consuming.

3rd step I coated the entire bottom of the boat with a thick layer of white flex seal. Many people say "don't do it" BUT, I DID IT!

We have used it at work to temporarily seal HVAC condenser coils etc. Worst case I have to touch it up, and do it again. For $40 (sealant, and Flex seal) I know she won't leak in the lil ponds I fish.

Let me know what you guys think.

Figured I would update this! Using scrap parts and pieces I took from the electricians and mechanical guys at work. I built wheels for the ol' Jonny!

2 pieces of uni-strut

2 pieces of 3/4" rigid conduit

2 trailer cotter pins

Some 3/8" nuts and bolts and plethora of drill bits and 2 $8 Harbor freight wheels.

Total $21 and now I have wheels! Not the prettiest but damn sure the cheapest and most well built!

Drywallers board karts usually have really good gummy wheels with grease ports.

Very true, but I don't think I could get someone to give me a $500+ cart to take the wheels from!

About to test this sucker out this morning. I will update later today!
