StriperAddict
Searched around here and didnt find a review or info. Anyone fish this rod? Ive got the 8' 2-10 oz but dont feel comfortable chucking much over 5oz on it. Love the rod for those medium baits and the price is right. Hoping the mag will handle the 250s etc I love to throw. Thanks
Bighuff714
I throw the 250s with ease on the regular baileys. Bomb hinkle trouts and the bubba cracker on the mag Badfish562, MattGbaz and StriperAddict 2
Mhuddfish
Before i upgraded to my ldc xxh i was throwing the hinkle trout with the mag 8ft 6in. Didnt have any issues with it StriperAddict
collegebassin
My Bailey's mag heavy handles the 250 like nothing. Absolutely no issues. StriperAddict and Primus 1
Badfish562
Seen Bailey's Mag handle wayyy more than a 250. The Bailey's Mag lure rating is 5oz-12oz and a 250 is 6.5 oz stock tuned. The standard Bailey's like @Bighuff714 was saying is closer to being a true 250 rod than a Baileys Mag.
Bassoholic23
Would you guys suggest the standard baileys or a dobyns 867 for throwing deps 250? I do like that the Irod is 2 pieces for transport but is it worth it to step up to the 867 for a long term dedicated rod?
StriperAddict
Although the baileys swim is rated to 10oz I felt it was under powered for chucking a 250. I like to heave em though. I use it for gizzard glide and the like I just got an 867 and am blown away by it. Almost like it was built to chuck a 250 danthefisherman

Kyle1387
Does anyone know of anywhere besides twh that carries these? Would like to pick one up but twh doesn't have a date for when theyre coming back. Would also love to know if anyone has thrown a baitsmith on them Nvm. Found one on Amazon. Seems like all the 86 are gone everywhere. Would still love to hear how it handles mags and the wcz battles trout if anyone has experience Edited August 3, 2020 by Kyle1387 Spelling
