She hit right at the boat, so I was able to watch it all go down (as my heart exploded in my chest). A beautifully built fish at 25"L x 18.5"G. She was released unharmed to potentially grow to the new TN state record. Been "trophy hunting" hardcore for the last 4-5 years and it's good to see my long hours on the water, money and mental grinding paying off. Got to put the custom F5 rod and Calcutta Conquest 400A to the test, the combo performed flawlessly. Even though it's not my PB I'm going to get Dave Campbell to make a replica so I can enjoy this memory the rest of my life! I'm not in CA, FL or TX so catching a DD doesn't happen often!
