CG_Fishes Posted May 24, 2021 Report Share Posted May 24, 2021 Went out on the first river trip of the summer looking for pike or maybe a muskie. Fished with the big stuff for most of the day, throwing the 8" magdraft, waver 200 and an 8" walking bait. Getting one blowup on the walking bait right at touchdown. I assumed it was a smallmouth and made a plan to come back with the 6" magdraft on my way back to the car. I did get one smallie, but when I returned to that slot, I found out it was a dink pike. Hahaha, actually that is on purpose. I bent that shank out so that the hook held in the body better.
