Sacpig916 mischief 1 piece rat

So, I've been hitting local lakes pretty hard over the last few years with jointed style wakes.  The bite was crazy initially big explosions, big fish being caught, it was awesome.  Slowly over the next year or so that fun went pretty much flat.  So, I got to thinking and wanted to try something different.  Mind you, I was already trying other multi piece baits ( ufos, crawlers, etc) with some success but not like before.  A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon Mike's (SacPig916) thread on his resin baits and reading his input on his 1 piece bait and how to fish it, I was sold.  I then made contact with him to purchase one.

I'll keep it simple and will say that Mike handled the whole process great.  Communication which to me is key was impeccable and I had a bait in my hands in about a weeks time.

My initial thoughts were blown away. The bait came packaged neatly, came with some spare scented tails and a few cool stickers.  20210528_162608.thumb.jpg.aefb12455c05f8d59175aad2c7be3d10.jpg20210528_162849.thumb.jpg.5a34ec12c2cfbfd07786e55851d07d3a.jpg

Mike put some serious thought and time into his bait and everything about it screamed quiet, and massive water mover. For being pretty small it has some weight behind it at 3.1 oz which I like very much, I can easily bomb the bait effortlessly. 20210528_170807.thumb.jpg.d0379677bbaed03f558d1f454b68abd2.jpg

The bait has a massive front bill that moves a ton of water and this bait can easily be crawled without issue especially with the low ratio of the cardiff 400a that I use.  20210611_162147.thumb.jpg.d095043fc2a7b607c915029aa4066d68.jpg

The hooks are attached to the bait using braid and a swivel to help make it even more quiet, there are rings around the 2 attachment points of the braid that help protect it.  Like I said well thought out.

On my first trip I was able to catch a nice one and missed 2 blow ups.  So, I considered this a success and now I have a different presentation that fish haven't seen. 20210606_005446.thumb.jpg.1e4ce9043cfb54c9d4aa8d6437624cae.jpg

On my second trip out I was again tossing the one piece rat and halfway into the night I caught a big ole bucket mouth in about a ft of water and 3 feet from shore.  The fish weighed in at 6lb 13 oz.  It was a very memorable fight seeing such a large fish doing acrobatic jumps.  this is my biggest fish of the year and I hope I have some momentum to keep this up.  I just wanted to share my experience with you guys and if you're looking for solid 1 piece rat SacPig916 is your guy. 20210613_032759.thumb.jpg.dc85662fee03a239cf663b8ebc5a0d67.jpg20210613_032943.thumb.jpg.79a6adb970ecec77777a6b26bedc9c2c.jpg

Nice review. I recently got a two piece and one piece from him and they look fantastic. Service was also top notch. Haven’t had a chance to fish them yet but your review definitely adds some excitement to wanting to take them out.
