Anyone try the Daiwa Tatula 7’3” or 7’9” H rods ?? Really want a rod for the TK and K9 that is shorter and the only options I saw were the DRT rods until I saw these. The 7’3” can apparently handle up to 4 oz and the 7’9” can do up to 6 oz. Nothing to throw anything too big on but they are sub $200 and I really want to see if anyone here has got any experience with them first. Lmk

I wrote a little mini review on the 7’3” in the short rod thread in the member reviews forum.

Looked for your review, but couldn't find it.

i run the 7'9" heavy. not alot of info out.  it is my primary rod. the heavy has a different style grip but super comfortable.  double footed guides all the way up. its a modfast action. work the money for sure

The 7’3 is super moderate so I really like using it for treble baits in the 1-2 oz range.  A great shore banging rod…almost is kinda finesse the weight of the baits it can throw is way overestimated in my opinion..will do great with the tk but no way on the k9

Picked up the  7'3 about 2 months ago. Only caught a couple fish on it so far but would definitely agree with whats been said, 4 oz would be overkill. For 2.5oz and smaller its money though.

Late reply, haven't been here in a while. Link below to my mini-review, it was in the short swimbait rod thread, my bad, hope it helps.
