Jay_Paternostro
Want to buy the 12" in all black for night fishing but heard that the 9" swims better because the 12" is just for "trolling" please let me know what you guys think is better for night thanks!! bigpoppabass
12 inch slammer is not twelve inches fyi. Should be called xl. It is a beast tho. 9 1x is a go to bait responsible for many giants....i have recently been throwing the 2x models and 06-07 year models are the bomb if you can find one. They are fat heads. MA Frog Man
12 is a pain to throw imo. The 9 is the workhorse SpaceGhost

FishDr
Get both. While the 9" is definitely a workhorse the 12" is also lethal, and can be useful in areas where the fish have seen the 9" a lot. It is a bulkier bait to throw but there are a number of rods that handle it without a worry. northeast_trev
Az_urban_swimbaiter
I love my 9inch ,It's a sick bait . Catches fish when other baits can't. But I have never used the 12inch . But definitely pick up a 9inch slammer for sure.

swole_t
What makes the 12 a pain to throw? According the the specs it only weighs 3.2 ounces. So it can't be the weight jcolo4sho
luckycraft
The 12 is an Awsome night bait. I usually fish it with a walk the dog type retrieve to get the the joint to make a slapping noise. I throw it on a dobyns 806, Shimano Cardiff 401,and 25 lb big game. It's really not bad to throw at all with the proper gear. Get one you will love it!!!
bigpoppabass
What makes the 12 a pain to throw? According the the specs it only weighs 3.2 ounces. So it can't be the weight It just pulls alot more and it overpowered my 9 inch slammer rig. So i sold mine cuz i rarely used it.
Fat-G
12" slammer is one of my most productive baits... Caught so many fish on it the paint is gone.
