  2. We had a really late start to the spring Bass season here in Western mass. It was literally still snowing a couple weeks ago. I've been grinding trying to get my first good one of the season and I finally landed her on Monday. I got her on a Phat Pats 4 Piece next to a rocky bottomed dock area. She hit it like a freight train about 4 cranks in. She ended up going 6lbs 13oz! 6lb13oz.mp4

    First swimbait bass

My 10 year old caught his first swimbait bass this past weekend on a home made bluegill wake bait. A 5.2 lb. lunker . Not too bad for a little guy.

I think you can drill a small hole in the body and drain the water then epoxy the hole.

  9. Couldn’t agree more keep that rod down!!! I don’t know if your in the boat or whatever but I’ve even gone to the point to bury the rod in the water to keep them from jumping mainly off my float tube but just make sure they don’t have a chance to come up and winch them in fast as you can

    Fishing LINE

+1 on no braid but with floro just be sure to check your line for knicks mono wise if I go cheap I go cxx if I need some good good maxima. A lot of people will say izorline xxx but after fishing it for salmon it left a horrible impression thus being said I was only fishing ten but it seemed like it wasn’t very good against abrasion had to retie a lot with it

Personally I never throw braid, EXCEPT...on a floating bullshad due to irratic fishing style. Since braid can easily back lash and will snap easily, but on floating baits I can just pick it up off the surface if I cast off. Other then that, I went through a very rough time period where everything broke, bad luck lol. I settled on Pline Cxx, I think it's the original, it's in the blue packaging as well as recently fell in love with with izorline copolymer. I rarely go over 20 really. I will throw 25 Ifor the bait is over 10 oz

  12. @Pats570 After Mothers Day brunch, I found me a female for Mothers Day! What a weekend of inconsistent weather….. Cold, rain, a tease of some Sun, little warmfront in the afternoon…. I cranked and covered a lot of water and found a pre-spawner feeding.

  16. I doubled up but on a double rig on 10 lb test. Not on a single swimbait. That's pretty crazy

  17. I would say toxic and wade hog's, both are great, as to how to fish them, https://www.youtube.com/user/Toxicbaits This is a user on here named ceasar, he is well known for lipped baits, specifically crackdowns, watch his videos, the man spits knowledge

    Fish of a Life-Time X2

Caught and released a fish of a life-time PB Sunday morning she was 45.5†long and weighed 29lbs9oz. Ended up break that PB on Wed with a 29lb13oz big headed dinosaur that was a ½’ longer than Sunday’s old PB at 46â€, looking forward to see what Feb has for me, to be honest I feel like I hit the lottery 3 times in less than a week.

  20. Guys, WE FOUND THE BOX!!!! I would like to give member Kyle Hansen (ISO_the1) a HUGE THANK YOU. He was very generous and pm'ed me saying he had a few baits from lots he bought that he never used. He pm'ed me in response for a post of mine awhile back looking to buy a few cheap baits as I had to spend the money I saved on a new rod :/ which should come soon. Thank you ISO, I will make sure to pass on this generosity.
