Well got to fish a toxic bait finally. Got a new whipper snapper in the mail Saturday after missing out on a few in my price range. Went to a lake where we figured the fish might be in post spawn and be willing to eat the wake bait. Turns out they were and they were chewin. 15 or so fish to about 5 pounds in 3-4 hours. Last cast of the night got trainwrecked, turns out to be a big cat. For some reason had to take a picture. Fish slipped out of my hand and left with my rod tip and snapper. So one trip and already gone so soon.... oh well great bait tho and now I need another if anyone looking to get rid of one lol

some non-location specific advice, you may get lucky with a forthcoming local....... - use Google maps to find water close to you. If you're 16 i'd note anywhere you're comfortable going on your own - determine best places/how to access - once you've got your bodies of water identified, use the Navionics Webapp to look at depth maps. I think the State of MA has their own depth maps as well - throw the baits you have at different times of day - morning, afternoon, evening, night it's taken 3 seasons for me to start to identify patterns at my go-to spots, but it's been getting easier. Now i can gather my variables and decide where i want to fish that afternoon based on what i've learned. It will come with time. You will have to work for it. This is NOT a sport of instant gratification (unless you stick a pig right off. In which case, i feel sorry for you for different reasons lol). *** oh and helpful New England tip for shore fisherman - WEAR PANTS - poison ivy/oak sucks

i live in NY and i can confirm that these northern strain have no problem eating trout, i fish small state park lakes and crush trout eaters all year long, no doubt, bass will eat anything they can fit in their mouth

Playing with this bait a little more. Lip out, a few board weights, and a new tail. Very nice action! Runs a little deeper now and flashes aggressively on rod twitch or quick reel crank. I've got it suspending just slightly nose down now and I think this thing is going to get absolutely crushed by something BIG!!!

The slammer is in Florida unfortunately I've not hooked up on it yet. This morning I fished the Caribbean beach resort at Disney.

Met forum member @Darryl at a local pond and spent a couple hours. Was lucky enough to get a smedium on my brand new UFO gill. Got his twin brother 5 minutes later. Then a while after that got a nice 4-11 on a Hiroshima Gillrilla. Great afternoon! Really good to meet Darryl and get a few fish! Thanks again for the picture!

I've had a little pet black crappie named Francis for a good number of years now (May 2015). Trained him to hunt with a lazer pointer MVI_2006.MOV

Alot of dead bass gag themselves to death up north. Geez a couple of those swallowed my Huddleston to the butthole and I thought for sure they were goners but hook popped....Some stocked lakes tho don't have a trout pattern if they are not a primary forage.

@168 Rookie yeah for the cold and my skin is sensitive to fins and teeth of bass (sucks) so I need something cheap and durable. If it’s real cold I’ll take a pair of cheap wool gloves from eBay cut the fingers out and wear them over the other gloves. Wool helps keep ya warm even when wet.
