Good. Much like Burritos, this will finally allow those of us who fish them to stock up and leave flippers with empty pockets.8 points -

You guys should all be stocking up on replacement eyes while you’re buying all of these. You’ll lose 3x more of those than the bait itself6 points -

So I'm fishing the monthly tourney and got my pb tonight. My scale read 9 lbs 9 oz but my nephew's scale read 9 lbs 7 oz so I'm calling it 9 lbs 8 oz. But I submitted the catch as 9 and 7 oz She doesn't seem quite ready to spawn. I only wish she had a pot belly. Can't believe it's only 1/2 a lb shy of what would've been my first dd. Stoked but still on the hunt. Anyways I started out fishing the micro mink for about 20 minutes. Waking and cranking. And I decide to put on the mini trucha before moving to the next spot. Brand new bait from toxics last drop of truchas, first time I'm tying it on, first time owning and fishing a mini trucha. Very first cast she smacks it. We’ve been together (dating and marriage total) for almost 23 years. She knew what she was getting into early on lol. It’s a lot less expensive than other hobbies I have and had have. She even bought me my swimbait racks years ago. But there are times she asks what it cost and I do cringe lol.5 points -

Finally got my first big pike of the year! Went 34” on the tape but I didn’t have the scale unfortunately. Big egg-laden female swimming upstream to spawn. Also got a noodly little male that was probably accompanying the female to the spawning slough. Casting the Balam 245 cross current to the main river and burning it to where the river dropped off at the mouth of the slough and pausing it in the current seam. Big female ate it on a long pause while I was responding to a text message from my roommate and the little male ate it right at my feet!3 points

*** 10lb, 9lb 4oz and twin 7lb! ***
Josh626 and 2 others reacted to 22RangerZ520R for a topic
Had an amazing trip this week, got my fourth DD at 10lb even first thing in the morning in the thick fog! Also had a 9lb 4oz on day 1 and twin 7lb that I caught within 5 minutes of each other on day 3! Got to watch it all go down (except for one 7lb) on my new Humminbird Live! Had a couple missed opportunities at giants on Live that would come sniff my cricket and then not commit.... This trophy hunting never gets old! Seeing and holding the giants makes all the time, money and grinding worth it!3 points -

It should have come with a bag of washers. You’ll need to add at least one, including the hex shaped washer that fits the shaft appropriately. There will be one thin and one slightly thicker washer in each size (7x4 or 8x5, so total of 4 washers). Start by installing the thinner one that fits your reel, then lock down your drag and check for slipping by applying force on the handle while holding down the spool tightly . If it still slips at all, switch it out for the thicker one and re-check for slipping2 points

Keeping Striper Pinned
BigBaitThirty and one other reacted to Scoop for a topic
Stripers are known heart breakers. They know their size and strength. But what's important is you're getting bit. The foundation to my style is keep contact but not over power/pressure. I tend to use my drag on the looser side. tight enough to set a hook and not tear a hole and pull the hook. But once the fight starts ill loosen the drag to be able to crank and gain on them but also loose enough to let the fish pull drag if it try's to make a run. as for the rod I always try to keep the road loaded and enough to keep the hook pinned but not enough to pull the hook. rods about 10 o clock . hard to explain but I hope you get what I mean. when the fish gets near the boat I usually go free spool and thumb my reel to let line out fast if they decide to roll or run. takes split second to get he reel back in gear. as for death rolls I use braided hooks instead of split rings on bigger/heavier baits. smaller baits ill run split rings because they usually choke them. I've had fish death roll on the bank and twisted the braided hook enough to break it lol. Hope it helps. good luck2 points -
That is wild! When I saw what it was I looked it up...and saw that is was only found in Africa, Asia, and Europe...and started wondering where the heck that one came from...then I looked at @chevro1et's location and saw "Korea". Much less confused now. Maybe I need to drink another barley pop to level things out.2 points

Anyone fish the baitsanity gill? How are they
Dink whisperer and one other reacted to BassInterceptor for a topic
For the explorer gill 1/0 decoy quads. I have a much higher hookup ratio and bass throw baits way less vs using traditional barbed stingers etc. as soon as I buy a bait, I immediately switch out the hardware to size 4 hyper wire splits rings and quads.2 points -

Messing with new plug

Well been screwing around with some plugs lately for the stripers. New one I’m carving up today. We will see what kind of walk we can get going with it. Hopefully mold a prototype today. 11 inch’s to call up them big girls.1 point -
