Been happening forever and as long as people keep paying it will keep happening. Happened 10 years ago and will be happening in another 10. Don't worry about it is not worth the stress. The hype bait will change and you will be able to get whatever you want sooner or later. Patience

  9. I’ve got 2 working class zero measuring boards from 2016 and 2017 I believe the shorter board was released in 2016 and has 2 stickers on it (can prob be removed but I haven’t tried) the larger board was released in 2017 and was not used. Came with the corner as it is shown lot of 20 bass stickers for the boards and two working class zero stickers open to cash offers

  10. Fished a cape cod herring pond a couple nights back. Was getting ready to head out around 11pm when I came across a small cove with herring exploding everywhere. Tossed the 7” black slammer into the fray and this absolute pig took it down. Fattest fish I’ve ever seen. She went 6-13.

  16. Lake Mohave treated me well today. Went out despite double red flag winds - might as well make use of that fancy DC reel tech - and caught a decent largemouth (3.8 pounds) on the Deps 175 and a good smallmouth (4.25) on the DRT K9. Caught and released, as usual.

This plus 100. As stated by others, this has been going on and will continue. Stick around long enough and you will see the hype baits change, so move on and fish baits you can get at the price you want to pay. A good swimbaiter should be able to catch fish on any bait. Most people don't fish the baits they have and wont see many post in the got em section, as this is what this place should be about. Also do a search this has been brought up by many new members all the time. What do you do if you want to buy a truck today and the dealer is asking for 5K over sticker...go home and make a post about it...no you would decide if you wanted to pay or not, the dealer is not giving 2 shits if you do and do not, there is someone right behind you that will. Just get out on the water and fish for you and you only.

When people click on a tab that says "Black Market" they really expect it to be a place thats fair and equitable? Should we change the name to "Grey Market"? Don't want it, don't buy it. This goes for guys complaining about bait makers who take a long time to deliver baits. STOP SENDING THEM MONEY. But they won't because they want the latest hype bait. Get out of line, I guarantee there's 10 people waiting to take your place. But it's more fun to complain and talk about class action lawsuits against people you willingly sent money to for a bait that your never going to fish and are going to sell anyway. All for an Instagram post and to get outfished by a guy throwing shiners on a bobber at the ramp.

If I can't get it on the drop I just wait it out. It happens in every scene with a limited release so it's not really surprising. The only thing I've really been waiting for is another TK drop. After seeing a ~4lb bass eat a tootsie pop last spring I've been reevaluating my time and money spent on big swimbaits though lol

Indeed…..and $5k is gonna sound like pennies when it’s time to buy a home and buyers are going $50k over list price and that’s on top of a $150k price hike for a real flipper.

  32. Well, I’ve been out every day that it hasn’t been storming and I love this bait. It’s an absolute blast to launch on the 867 and I love the noise and action. But with storms moving in and out every few days, the wind has been strong daily. Terrible conditions for a wake on top of extremely low lake levels with some of the heaviest fishing pressure of any lake in the Country. I gave it two more hours this evening and it’s just not the right time for topwater action here. It’s time to send her on to the next guy on the list. @SacPig916, you build your baits like a tank for sure! Impressive hardware my man. Love that ball in place of a tail. Someone will stick a pig on this one no doubt. One pic from this evening on the Big G to add to its history.

  40. Yeah, I think if they made it almost like a big suspending jerkbait it would be a lot more effective. The only thing that I think it could be really effective for is big Lake Trout during the winter as well as pike and maybe musky. I still have yet to get bit on mine.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a slide jack. But haven't yet. It's got a backwards facing belly lip that makes it skip and jump on the surface. I took it out this afternoon for a test run. I'm confident it's gonna be a fish catcher

There are so many quality baits that often perform better than the hype baits that get flipped. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. DRT are often available as well as Bullshad products.

  46. On Thursday I found out that my classes were canceled for earth day (Perks of being an environmental science student) so I decided I wanted to fish some new spots and challenge myself physically. Being a broke college student with no car and a passion for big bass I decided the best thing I could do would be to go on a multi-day swimbait fishing mission using my bike to get around. Yesterday at 10:00 am, I embarked on a 50 mile 2 day bike ride with a 45 pound backpacking pack with all of the water, food, sleeping equipments, (basically everything needed for camping) with my two swimbait sticks a heavy action Gloomis GCX Heavy 7'6" FPR with 65 pound braid for soft swimbaits and a Expride XH 7'6 XH with 20 lb mono for hard baits. Started off on lake X fishing a wind blown point on a rocky beach and landed three largemouth, a 2-1, a 2-5 and a 3-7 on the megabass magdraft 6 inch. I proceeded to then catch my first smallmouth of the year which put up a fun aerial display and a fun fight. Absolutely choked the magdraft too. Hit several more spots and didn't get another bite. Ran into a nice hailstorm on mile 22 on my bike which was quite fun. Got to my campsite on lake Z at 4:00PM and set up my hammock and proceeded to catch 5 quality largemouth on the magdraft all 2-3 pounders (one hit missed it 5 feet away from me on the bank, I flipped it in there again and saw the three pounder fish hit it right from the bank). I recognized that I was catching too many (never thought I would say this while swimbaiting) smedium fish on the magdraft and grabbed my expride with the 8 inch line through perch. Second cast got a hard hit off a rocky point set the hook and landed a 4-12 which was my biggest fish ever on a swimbait (until today). I was amazed at how a bait that big fit so easily in a 4's mouth. Next cast had another hard hit off the point and proceeded to land a 2-14 on the 8 inch perch. The fish absolutely swallowed the bait that was half as long as it was. Finished the day off with and even smaller 1.5 pounder on the savage gear perch. The fish was not even 14 inches long. I guess I now have the confidence to throw 10 inch baits. Woke up this at 5:00 am to find below freezing temps (29 degrees f). As cold as I was I climbed out of my hammock, put on my waders, and headed off fishing. I started the first hour with parallel casts to the bank along my spots on lake z but could not get any fish to commit and had to deal with my line, reel, and rod building icicles. I moved 1/4 mile down the bank to a brushier harder to fish spot and was rewarded with several two pounders offshore. Moved again and felt a slight tick, set the hook, and landed a new PB largemouth, 6 pounds 5 ounces. Wish I could've entered itto the SUB tournament but I did not have a measuring boards with me, oh well. The fish did not fight too hard but was probably as cold as I was. Caught another several 3s and a 4-0 to end the day. and proceeded to bike back to campus to where I am now sitting exhausted at my desk. I am quite happy with how I did this weekend catching 23 fish total with 20 of those being over 2, 10 over 3, and 3 over 4. It was a long 50 miles on my bike, and I lost my favorite hard glidebait, but it was worth it in the end. Thanks to all who got to this point in this post.

  47. Finally after many failed attempts at the SUB Tournament, I’m on the board. Decided late this evening I would hit one of my favorite spots to fish. A rip-rap dam with standing timber. Got a few taps, slow crawling the Huddleston 68 Weedless but no commitments. Having to be with the wife by a certain time, I was only afforded three last cast…. The last one sent me home with immense joy. A chunky 5lb-14oz NJ Largemouth beauty. She’s was like a football. ** Hope my submission meets the tournament guidelines. I struggled to take pictures by myself standing on some ankle breaking boulders.
