Stuck in Galt so, when I get the chance, I come fish. Thanks to some suggestions from some rad dudes on here I was able to find a few spots to shore pound. Got out a bit early so decided to hit the water a bit. Still testing this K9 special rod I built and finally got it bent. Not the size I was hoping for but hey I’m happy. The rod is perfect and I stuck a K9 fish. Little dude decided he wanted to play so I had to oblige him. If anyone wants to fish and hang let me know. It’d be rad to have some company sometimes.

Put 6 more hours into it today and foiled the 2 bites I had on the citizen…. Congrats to the champ and huge thanks to the SU crew for making it happen!!

Congratulations! Great fish! After catching that fish on the @Jinxd12 wake I never landed anything over 2 lbs. It was great competing against you all. I hope I can make it back again next year. Thanks so much to SU for running these and all those that supported and encouraged me this week!

congrats! funny that i got beat by a bait i sold him. the trailer crapping out on me definitely didn't help my chances, which still isn't fixed do to issues with the bearing melting to the hub. hit a few shore spots and nothing to show for it happy to have gotten a wildcard for the second year in a row and thanks to SU for putting this on and everyone that sent good luck messages

Well that's it for me. Not for lack of trying. I spent lots of hours hours on 3 different lakes this past week and just couldn't get it done. I even tried bank fishing one of the days and here's a failed attempt to get out in a kayak. Major drought in Minnesota and I got stuck in loon ish. Thanks to the Swimbait Underground crew for puttin this on.

After my 30th hour on the water this week, I though for a second I might have had a good one when I saw this one in the water. Had the length I was after but the weight was WTF? Same length as the 8-5 I caught earlier this year! This was only 5-5. I can say I have tried with all I’ve got on this one guys!!!

Can’t believe that fish held up, I went again yesterday and fished from daylight until dark and had only one bite on a hawghunter mag, so that brought me up to one fish on 4 bites for the week. This was a ton of fun, thanks to Swimbait Underground for the opportunity and also thanks to @chefchris for selling me the hinkle trout haha

Rat landed today

fish were busting at the surface and he hit this like a lmb hits a spook. Explosive!

I’ve done it with the lureworks paint. Hudds come with such good paint that it isnt really worth the trouble. Now if you were bored and wanted to go down the rabbit hole I get it but you could spend that time throwing a stock color and get bit really well. The stock schemes are really hard to beat.

Acetone should do the trick, just put some on a rag and wipe it on carefully. You will need solvent based paint spray can paint would just wash off. Solvent based paint is VERY VERY toxic so make sure to take the upmost caution when using it, get a good quality respirator and full bodysuit when using it. I can not stress it enough take caution. Lureworks makes some called SB-coat that you can apply with a brush which is safer than putting it in a airbrush.

Nice, I was out in front of SB a couple weeks ago and kept swinging too soon and missing with the Citizen 6, nothing to show but teeth marks all over the bait.

4 hours today yielded one bite on the 250. It was one of those strikes that pulls the rod from you…..swapped out my hooks after that one

Aside from the fish that secured me a spot in this battle I've been on small ones all year. Didn't bother weighing it. October has never been a great month for size for me.

One of the most beat up, deformed fish ive seen. Had the length but not the girth. Best I could do for 4 straight days of swimbaiting. Sigh.

My day 1 is over. The @Jinxd12 wake got me an impressive fish. But, it isn't enough to beat a similarly sized fish from the Carolinas. I still have some time though! 20221023_073050.mp4

Fished a tournament today and since it lined up with the battle I decided to dedicate the whole day to throwing a swimbait, about 12:00 I managed to cast off my Hinkle trout... I was pretty sure I could see it on the bottom in about 15’ so I rigged up my plug knocker and took the handle off my net and dropped it down on top of it, somehow managed to snag it (the whole process took about 30 minutes) I was so relieved not to have lost it that I already considered it a good day, but about an hour or so later this girl ended up eating it...it was good enough for big fish in both the tournaments I was fishing even though it’s the only one I caught all day

Leviathans seem to have a really solid backing on the forum lots of guys can give you more information! As well as low down customs white label is nothing to over look.

I've had a similar experience, at least fishing with Slammers in a lake that has limited fishing pressure and lots of small to medium sized pike, and a few big ones (40"+). The majority of the fish hit the 7" Slammer, a few hit the 9" Slammer (though it gets lots of looks), and very few hit the 12" Slammer. That 7" size seems about right, at least for the pike I encounter.

Ya tactical bassin, while they’re not necessarily putting out “bad info” they are arguably the biggest shills in the bass fishing community. Take everything they say with a grain of salt. Almost all their videos focus on selling a piece of gear or tackle, not necessarily teaching you how to catch fish. Definitely some good info but you have to read between the sales plugs

Solid morning with 4 quality fish, 3 on the burrito baits nacho and 1 on the sneaky rat. After being stuck on 3s for almost 2 months finally got a fish over 4 lol

Flew in from Hawaii on Friday, 27 hours on the water over the past 3 days and this is all I have to show for it! It wasn’t for lack of effort that’s for sure! Threw nothing but 10”+ baits and never saw a big one.

Quick and dirty bluegill paint job. I figure this'll work well enough while I tinker with the design. I added a line tie straight off the nose, and I might try one on top of the nose too and compare how each impacts the action.
