I'd really like to find a deeper diving Pats to fish. The ones I have are all shallow cranks. But the deeper diving ones are much harder to find, pricey, and in any case a wide-lipped Tiny Klash catches fish just fine lol. When I started fishing crankdowns, there weren't that many on the market. So I fished the Pats and then a couple years later I got a wide-lip for the TK from Japan, and that changed everything. Pats, at least the broken in ones, have a great squeak. I really like that. Anyway (top to bottom in the pic), mini* 6.5" 2.11 oz reg 7" 2.27 oz phats** 8" 3.51 oz *the mini might be a mini phats, not sure. Doesn't matter to me, it catches well. ** I don't fish the Phats all that much, as you can probably tell by the lack of hookrash.2 points

Broke Boy reacted to MajorStyles for a topic
Relatively new to swimbaiting; new to the board. Enjoying seeing everyone else’s PB’s so I wanted to post mine. Caught in March this year on an 8” Magdraft. 8lbs 9oz. Absolutely thrilled, and have really enjoyed learning to throw big baits.1 point -

Does anyone know Jacob612? He needs to send me a bait
f1hook reacted to Mossypumpkin for a topic
I’ve said this here before. Once someone pays you for a bait, you’re now in possession of someone else’s property. You should be doing everything within reason to get that bait to a post office. It’s not yours. So barring an emergency, a week is excessively long to ship a bait. I do hope he’s ok! You should also be planning ahead if you are headed out on a two week cruise, prob shouldn’t be selling baits you can’t ship FYI for all the excuse makers out there, “I forgot it in my truck”, “work was busy”, and so on…..those aren’t emergencies. Those are you being lazy. I get stuck at work too, so if I miss the post office, I drive to the next town over to one that’s open later, or ask my wife to drop it on her lunch break. Because again, the bait doesn’t belong to me…..1 point -
TBH, you should wait a bit longer before you start to defame others. Maybe something happened to him and he's unable to send your bait off like he said he would. It's also close to the holidays as well. I would understand your frustration if he was to log on here and there and ignoring you but he hasn't been on since he sold you the bait. Just give it more time brotha. I was in your shoe multiple times and I eventually got what I paid for. Don't be too quick to judge. Hopefully he responds soon.1 point

Lightning trout
mhartley1994 reacted to Process77 for a topic
Finally able to set some time aside to put down some paint. Lot of lightning trout stocked near me so I thought I’d take a stab at it. 3rd paint job ever. Got a long way to go. KBS bubbled quite a bit I need to slow down, tried to rush it. Pretty happy overall. player_export.mov player_export.mov1 point -

MA PB 7-15
Broke Boy reacted to iboothroyd94 for a topic
Figured I’d share my PB from back in September going 7-15 and caught on the crawler I make (Biggy Crawls) in Massachusetts Incredibly blessed to run into a fish like this up here in New England and going to be real tough to beat and crack into that 8lb club, but I’ll get there eventually!1 point -
Found a good one the other day with the Nate’s Trout. I am super impressed by it and I love the swim. First time out with it. I intend to buy many more.1 point

How does this bait compare to the Moby? Does it swim the same just smaller profile? I have a Moby and I’m thinking of trying to find one of these as the size/profile seems a bit more versatile! When you find something that works buying them up seems like the way to go!1 point -

They'll get fished, don't you worry. And they are hard to get, that's why I got all I could! You had the same opportunity I did during his drop "bro". If I was "staight up greedy" I would have 10 of them right now instead of 9 since I sold one already to a fellow SU member (I'm keeping the rest). Also, I drive my DIESEL FORD F250 about 10 or 15 mph over the limit on the highway and sometimes in the fast lane when I'm passing someone...1 point -
Back in the day around 2013 I got my first one, Basic Perch but it was made out of cedar, it was a killer bait caught many fish on it. I bought a bunch from Pat directly and have 13 variants. Some wood some out of a composite. Then he got mad at me for unknown reasons and that was the end of the Pats relationship. The furthest I got into the Pats evolution was this pink gill, probably around 2016. They were 75 bucks back then not sure what he charges now. They were all handmade and all of mine vary, some work better than others. I wouldn't say they are rare, you just need to be in the clique or know someone who is.1 point
