  1. Hey Guys, It's been tough to find a 3:16 ss bluegill and I haven't even come close to being on here at the right time to grab one when they are for sale here on the forum. So if anyone wants to sell a slow sink bluegill, I'm willing to pay more than what they have been selling for lately. PM me if you're willing to sell one. Thanks guys! bbfishin
  2. Congrats! Fun to watch Don! What I like is that your wife is so supportive and is willing to come out fishing with you sometimes and even does a good job netting! Her being out there with you says a lot about her!
  3. Very cool! You may just need to prepare for her catching more and bigger fish if that striper is a sign of things to come!!! Congrats to her!
  4. I know much of the comments are comparing braid to mono but I do want to add that if you're thinking about using flouro for top water swimbaits, I'll save you the headache by letting you know the sinking properties of the line will OFTEN snag the front hook of your swimbait. This will happen a lot if you are fishing an erratic retrieve. Just something to keep in mind.
  5. Yeah, I'm pretty happy that I got it back as well since I have been doing very well on that freestyle the past month! The guys were super nice in helping me get the bait back but they are used to diving for glasses and phones that drop into the lake all the time. No, he didn't find anything else down there. I'll be respooling my reel with some fresh line now as I'm a bit afraid to be launching the bait out again with the same line. I thought it had snapped on the knot but actually it snapped three feet up. Another good reminder to always check your line and remove a few feet every time. Usually, I do that but sometimes these things just happen unfortunately.
  6. I can't say I was too happy when my release button on my reel got stuck and I had to abort casting my 3:16 10" freestyle a few days ago! And yes, as you can tell from my subject title, the 30 lb test line ended up snapping and the swimbait went flying off and yes, it was a slow sinker! I tried all different kinds of methods to retrieve it...snagging, using a large magnet, using a 16 foot extension pole with a net on the end, etc. All of which were unsuccessful. The weeds are still somewhat high over here so that made seeing it impossible. So, the only other option... A swimbaiter has got to do what a swimbaiter has got to do sometimes! No, it wasn't me since I'm not certified in scuba but after this episode, I'm considering it!
  7. I just received this 10" freestyle from godzilla and went to fish it the next day. This 7-8lb toad absolutely slammed it! I had been throwing it on Ben's LDC XXH and even though he slammed it, he didn't have much of a chance! I'm having a lot of fun now!
  8. You will not be able to use a Terrova in a recessed tray because of the foot pedals on the side and base of the actual pedal. You will use those quite a bit in my opinion. You would be better off finding a tray that fits over your recessed tray and placing the Terrova on top of that. That being said, the Terrova is a great trolling motor! It has so many options that some of the others don't have especially when used with a Humminbird. I had one on my old boat and will have one on my next boat too! Love the handheld remote! Hope that helps a bit.

Wow! So many quality fish AND a mix of both large and smallmouth bass! Very sweet!
  10. Boy, you're really putting Colorado on the map for both species of bass MARBLES! You're making us So Cal boys very envious! Congrats on some great catches! Well done!
  11. Hey guys, I've been looking to get a freestyle bluegill floater or sinker for a little while now (like a lot of us) without much success so I thought I would put a request in here. If you're looking to trade or sell one, please let me know what you're looking for or how much you're willing sell it for. Thanks! bbfishin
  12. Wow! Impressive is all I can say!
  13. I have just one thing to say.... If that isn't enough incentive to get in the game, then I don't know what is! Thanks Mickey! Looking forward to receiving the 10" tomorrow!
  14. Just an FYI...my wakebait was the 22nd one in line! LOL Thanks Mickey!
