I'm in ohio, so it's going to be a while until I can put any work in on it....

Me exactly! I tournament fish a lot, and primarily throw "conventional" baits while doing so. "Free" days are my swimbait days. That's what I'm throwing all day. I may have 4-6 swimbaits rigged up and cycling through them, but you sure won't see a shaky head on deck. (I do occasionally throw swimbaits during tournaments on certain lakes, but in eastern ohio, we don't have a bunch of "swimbait friendly" water that hold tournaments)

Mine looks like the true value one. Probably updated the packaging on the other site. I've not had any yellowing in 2 years. I apply with a small art brush. Make sure you keep turning the bait as the epoxy sets up or it will sag to the lowest point. Most prefer a drying wheel, but I've gotten by with just hanging the bait by the nose or tail and flipping it every 10 minutes or so.

If anything, it's going to make it sink faster by adding weight. A wooden bait should never take on water. If it does, it's basically toast... The clear coat is not meant to seal the bait, only protect it and add gloss. The wood is sealed before it is even painted.

They were mostly targeting the Musky/Pike crowd with the new rods/reels. (Hence the graphic) Swimbait bass guys are just an added bonus to them...

Did anybody not come out with a generic glide this year???

Word is $45.99 Per chris Jackson (duo prostaff) September release.

Yep. First try. It's a little rough looking in person though. I'm no artist by any means. Functionality is good. But the finish work needs progress.

I don't know that he was using the new reel, but I do know it was one of the new rods. -

badbub19 replied to michaelcronje's topic in Member Reviews
I had one. It was "o.k." but very stiff and heavy.
