  1. Want to buy mags - trading didn’t work out efficiently. Looking for Baitsmith Mags - particularly trout but open to all colors. Open to hawghunter if they are the lightning trout potentially - or some other interesting color. Send me picture and price Thanks, Isaac
  2. I’ll give it a couple days for trades and then I will start considering offers. I am trying to PM everyone back. Thanks
  3. I have some baits for trade: Castaic Chubby Cheek - from some research I believe it to be from the first run of the second series. Phoney Glide XS 3:16 Wake Jr 6” punker - chrome paint is peeling (I have heard this was an issue for this color) 6” G2 Punker I am looking for low profile swimbaits reels and Mags (OG, Hawghunter, open to colors). Will consider offers. Please note most these baits have seen the water and have hook points (phoney, wake jr). I’ll be happy to supply additional pictures and info -Isaac
  4. I have never even heard of this and hiked through a couple of those states this year. Hope the first frost kills all of the buggers and everyone can breathe a little easier. Permethrin is a clothes treatment - you spray it directly on to your pants and shirts, let them dry - that kills ticks and other bugs on contact. It is sold in Walmart and most sporting good stores. Look in or near the hiking stuff. It is sold in yellow bottles (usually plastic). Follow the instructions for application. It last 6 weeks or X amount of washes. If you’re willing to commit to one or two “fishing” outfits, you can send them off to professional companies. When applied professionally, I think it lasts 6 months or maybe longer. Also, you can buy 100% DEET spray. Just be careful with getting it on anything that isn’t your skin or clothes. It will ‘melt’ plastic. Tackle boxes, phone cases, watches, and I’m sure baits aren’t safe from the power of DEET. I know it sounds crazy to hear that then spray it in yourself, but it works. I don’t use it all the time, but when you NEED something - DEET is where it is at.
  5. Tracking number says it was delivered this past Monday. Sorry for the delay on an update. Hopefully Nolan Aker will post some fish pics with it soon!
  6. I managed to get my schedule straight and got to fish the baby wake yesterday for 5 hours. Fished a lake that is usually pretty stingy but was lucky enough to stick two spotted bass. The first was a little over 3 lbs. The second was smaller but I hooked it after purposely casting over a lay down. Had some fun moments but got the fish and bait in the boat. Not sure if these are the first SC fish on the bait, but here ya go.
  7. I am trying to clear my schedule to fish the bait on Thursday. I have to get some stuff done for work, but hopefully I can get the boat in the water and fish the wake for 4-5 hours. I’m going to do my best to catch a fish, but at least she will see water. Then I can send it off to the next person.
  8. I have the wake in my possession. I’m gonna try my best to stick a fish on it in the next week. I currently have some sort of stomach virus/common cold, so hopefully that goes away and I can fish it.
  9. I caught a 7lber in Texas - weighed it and took pics with the swimbait... but totally forgot about the code. Don’t really think it would make it anyway. Last good fish for the next 6 months, cause no fishing for me.
  10. I heard on live on Saturday it was a rat that was no longer made. At least that’s what Zaldain told a couple of the guys reporting
  11. Not swimbait related, but if you have never been there and are running a boat, please do a little research on how to run the lake. Stay in the boat lanes! Best of luck. If they are in the grass and water is warming up, I wouldn’t hesitate to throw a soft bait like a scottsboro tackle company swimbait - tick it through the top of the grass and hold on
  12. Scottsboro Tackle Company swimbaits - throw them on a beast hook. Super weedless, great action, and a lot of awesome colors I have caught a ton of fish on the seven inch
  13. Not wanting to split right now unless a decent offer on one of the baits Bump
  14. OG 250 - mercury with paint peeling, as this color was known to do. Phoney XS - some hook rash but swims great 6” Punker - chrome but paint peeled up. This is from back in the day $300 for all three baits
  15. PRICE DROP OG 250 - $150 Phoney - $135 Punker - $60, can be sold for $50 if purchased with one of the other baits
  16. Phoney still for sale Godzilla and the mixed lot are SOLD
  17. Thanks for all the compliments. Little more info on the bait, it dives, and rather quickly. Here is a response from an email a couple years back - I believe from swimbait city (??? - don’t remember. It’s signed ‘Don O’) Well Isaac, what you have is a first run of the second series of Castaics. So you say your bait doesn't wake? You could have had a different weighted lure. They made sinkers believe it or not. I have one but did not put into dons baits because it was too hard to see the sinker writing on the bait. Not sure what you want to do with it but if it were me I would put it away. These baits are hard to come by. Being they were all hand made makes them all a little different. I think you have a cool bait and I would keep it that way Don O My bait doesn’t sink, it floats, but cranks down quickly
  18. Castaic Chubby Cheek - I cannot remember the official name. But Butch Brown talked to me a little bit about it when he was at the classic (no one is SC knows who Butch is, haha). Anyway, I through it a tiny bit and then someone on here gave me a history lesson a couple years back and it’s just sat on my shelf. $200
