That's so sick, I know the barramundi but what's the second fish? I swear it looks just like a grouper (baby goliath?)
-
Thats a brute, I can't imagine having confidence throwing baits in 30 fow..... As for your service, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we can't thank you enough!

The reel can for sure handle it, if you're using 25# line though then capacity is the only issue. 250's can launch really far, and at the very end of a long cast it can be tough to pick up enough line if a fish bites right away. I use the 300 calcutta for my deps and still cast most of the line off sometimes, especially if I havent switched out line in a month or so

That has happened to me twice with 175's, at least you got to see her throw it. Sucks to think of a fish swimming around with a 3+ ounce bait stuck on it

The baby floats allot higher in the water, so you can work it allot faster and more aggressively. It walks very well and doesn't "dig" as much downward when using the rod tip, plus it will still wake when reeled quickly. The Jr. IMHO can be cranked more easily, has a slower rate of stall, and more of a swimming motion to it than a wiggle. I can only walk my Jr. with the slightest reel pops and hardly any rod action at all, the slightest line movements will make it dance in place if you give it enough slack. Its really easy to overwork though if you're trying to cover water, so I use it more when I know fish are holding somewhere shallow or tight to cover

Instagram post says the 18th so I'd assume the 16th was a typo? I can't believe I read the post on here and didn't notice ha

You've been putting up some really good vids lately, thank you!

I've had top hook ragos run crooked or off-kilter. Added a 1/32 weight into the belly and it fixed all my problems, still very much the same sink rate afterwards too. I think the hooks on the top can add too much weight sometimes and make the center of mass too high

So sick, thank you for taking the time to film and share with us!

Mine does the same thing, I've just kinda accepted it... But anyways I figured I'd let you know you're not alone. I'm almost 23 and still have ish happen like this

Hit her with a shovel

I did this myself, it worked great other than when I mended it back together now there is a cavity of air in the belly. It sinks a little unbalanced, but swims perfect and still doesn't roll

Lots of companies make them, look for butterfly jig hooks (saltwater). Owner and Shimano are the only ones I've ever used, but they're bulletproof

Put it on a paper towel and find a small paperback book that's the same height as 1/2 the thickness of the tail section . Line the book up so that the tail is on the book but the rest of bait is on the paper towel. Now lay a heavier book on top of the other side of the tail and let it sit there for a few days. Not too much weight on the top book or it will flatten the texture on the tail. This worked for me with my islide tail, heating it up a bit before doing the books could make it go faster

30# is the highest I've gone, trying to cast 40# on a levelwind reel can be annoying (in my saltwater experience)
