6lbs 6oz, hit on a slow roll over a 10 foot patch of milfoil. Haven't been largie fishing in at least a month and it's good to be back in the game!

If your targeting 3 pounders why do you want to use a deps 250? If your targeting 3 pounders get a deps 175, that size is a better beginner size to start off with because you will have lots of followers on it and big fish will not be scared to eat it as well. Than once you want to up the size of fish you catch, throw a deps 250! Good luck out there!

Sunline fc sniper florocarbon 25 pound, or what i switched to now is 22lb sunline shooter power special. If you want to use mono, i used to use 25lb cxx, strong as rope but it has lots of drag in the water.

Last night, me and a friend decided to head to a local lake for a night of smallie fishing. We left well before dark and caught a couple 2-3lbers, than once the sun set, there was not a cloud in the sky. Than it got cold. But as soon as it got cold, we stopped catching 12-14 inch smallies for about 30 minutes. I do a long cast with the BBZ rat and left it sitting for a minute. I heard the rat get sucked down and I set and landed a beautiful 5lb 3oz smallie, biggest one ever weighed on a scale outta that lake. Once I caught the 5lb 3oz smallie, I caught a 4lb 7oz smallie on the rat as well, than after that, we just kept catching 4lb+ smallies. In total I think we got 8 over 4lbs and one at 5lbs 0oz the other at 5lb 3oz. Pretty wicked night.

Dude, just stick with biwa masu, it is an all around great bait fish immitation and it catches fish like crazy. -
I fish Slammers and Punkers as topwater, punker when they want more commotion, slammer is great all around. I also love fishing the weedless rising sons because i can just throw them almost everywhere. Rats are real good as well, like nezumaa's and woodrow.
