    To me, depends on where in the water column you want to fish. Bottom dragging I will use a top hook to not snag, If I'm suspending or floating the bait, then I would use a line through or treble bait.

    I throw big baits no matter what. There is a time a place for big baits. Sometimes you never know whats gonna hit your bait. As soon as you get a bite or a fish on a big bait, then you gain confidence in that bait. The advantage of throwing a big bait is you will get followers. Then, if they don't commit, throw something smaller at them.

    I have it. I’ve had it for a minute. The person organizing contacted me when I got sent over but I have heard from him since. I wasn’t sure who to send it to next. I accidentally deleted his text. So I was waiting for him to hopefully contact me. It’s safe.

    Mike Gilbert mentions a few tips that he does to increase hookup. One think he mentioned was slightly bending the hook up so that it’s more parallel with the bait rather than angled down. Next, manny chee talked about bites with the battleshad which I think can translate to the citizen. When you feel the ticks, start reeling a little faster and aim your rod tip towards the bait. Then, if you have a fish on, you should almost feel it like “a crankbait digging in the dirt”. Once you feel that, set the hook and keep tension and bring them in fast, don’t fiddle with drag, yank them in.

    Magdrafts/magslows are a very durable plastic with an internal harness. Good bait IMO. Comes in many sizes too.
