  1. Millerods Swimsanity - 8’3” two piece, 6-13 ounce rating. Excellent big bait rod and the removable handle brings the overall length down to just 79”. Used for a couple of outings but need to sell now due to a vehicle issue. $280 shipped to you anywhere in the US.
  2. DRT Klash Ghost in California Dream. I have 2 Deep lips, one Short lip, 4 tails, and a set of joint stoppers. Also have the factory box and instructions. Bait was lightly fished. Caught a dock once. See the photos. Asking $450 shipped to you for everything. Price is firm.
  3. Good fish on a big bait! Nice.
  4. Solid fish and both are stand up guys. No question it's a legit catch.
  5. It's pretty wild in the sense that it can do both. It's got a tuning chamber that you fill with included plastic or weighted balls to get your desired sink rate.
  6. I’d like to trade for a Toxic whipper snapper. If you’re interested let me know. Not for sale at this time.
  7. Always love your season recaps and late season runs!
  8. If you can fit a bait into a weed pocket or a laydown opening I will try to put anything in it. I love to pitch wake style baits into pockets and let them sit for upwards of a minute before I do anything with them. Subtle twitches can then entice bites. It's hard to theorize but you have to be willing to lose the bait you are fishing with if you want to get it to where the fish are at times.
  9. I"m not far from you in the Kansas City area and I'll stick a bait anywhere. Some of my most productive fish come from pitching lipped gill baits like a Toxic Wade Hoggs into lay downs. I'll also jig a weedless 6-8" swimbait in and around those lay downs.
  10. I appendix carry a Glock 43 w/ a +2 mag. A second magazine in the pocket with a +1 extension. Streamlight pro-tac 1aaa, and either a folding kershaw or an ESEE candiru. Great thread here!
  11. There is a guy on SU Facebook by the name of Alex that makes real nice feathered trebles. If you don't do the Facebook thing let me know and I'll reach out to him for ya!
  12. I like my 795 for hard baits and exposed jig hook baits although I have successfully fished weedless soft baits like burrito taquitos. I do believe it is better suited as a treble hooked rod because it does bend into the blank some. The 806 for me is stouter and does not bend as deep but seems to perform well across the board. I think the best thing you can do is play around with different configurations to see what YOU like the feel of the most.
  13. The gloves I finally settled on are a SIMMS Guide Windbloc glove. The thrub, index, and middle finger all offer the ability to fold over so you can still have dexterity to tie knots and thumb the spool. I wear a pair of nitrile gloves under them to keep the water off my skin.
  14. I grabbed a jig hook shad before they went out of stock. I really like their small gill bait.
  15. I run my MVT 807 paired with a Tranx 200 (I like the smaller size) and throw jig baits as well as trebled baits up to 8 ounces. I really like it for baits I’m that 4-7 ounce range. Toxic wade hoggs, Trucha Masu, Deps 250. I’ve also thrown the DRT Ghost on it which is almost 9 ounces and it felt good too! You can’t go wrong with this rod man!
  16. I find the 806 to be underpowered for the 250. I’ve got an identical setup and even thought it’s rated to 8oz I rarely throw anything over 6 oz with it.
  17. I've got a Fury 795 that I love for bacca burritos and an 806 that I like for 8" hudds. I have noticed that I need to really swing and hold the hook set on these more parabolic rods and jig hook baits but I have been liking them over stouter rods. I think the big thing to take away from all of our responses it that these are all personal preference recommendations and the only way to really figure out what you like is to spend the time experimenting with what you have. Enjoy man!
