Looking for any experiences with the Gliss fishing line. The few reviews I have found are at each end of the spectrum. Considering using this on my smaller bait/A-Rig set up due to the much thinner diameter for their rated strength. Thanks.

I have the 7in Inshore Weedless saltwater ones ($8 for a 2 pack) and they seem to be worth the cash. A bit tough/stiff so it takes a bit to get the tail moving but it has a nice side to side rock. I use an 8/0 Beast hook and it fits well (I prefer my hooks smaller than most) without interfering with the action. I will try boiling the tails a bit here soon to see if that makes them swim better at slower speeds.

As a newer swimbaiter myself who has used the search feature substantially I can add these points: 1) The 4 character minimum prevents some options (like when I wanted to look up ABT/316/DRT or when I wanted to see who all was ISO or WTB a certain bait in the black market) but overall, generic text strings bring up the most results then hitting control+F (find) you can help narrow down your true search from the results. 2) The search feature does constrain to the particular sub-forum you're on but you don't have to go to the homepage to change that. Next to where you enter your text there is a button that says "This Forum"... if you click that, you can select to search the overall forum. You can also do the advanced search by clicking the gear icon next to the button I mentioned above. In there, you can search the tags and doing that you are allowed to use less than 3 character search strings. 3) Lastly, the majority of users here don't bust your balls if you do ask a question that has been around a while. They usually post a link to your answer or just answer the question. There are a few that just tell you to use the search bar (pretty sure I am guilty of doing that myself) without really assisting. Overall, I have learned a lot by reading, searching, and posting a few questions myself and I thank a lot of the folks on the forum here for that.

I've fished these a bunch when I first started my swimbait game last year. Overall, great little bait for the price. The only issues I ever came across was the paint on the gill patterned ones. It rubbed off before I ever got it in the water. As for durability with peacocks... unknown man but if you need help testing it out, I'm in. Lol.

I'd probably feel comfortable up to 6-7oz but don't have anything to test that yet. I am a long cast and flipper though. I don't bomb much but it chucked my 3.5oz savage gear line thrus with no issues.

For the Fury 795 and 806, the butt is 14 and 1/8" from where the bottom slot for the reel foot is to the end date of the handle.

I tossed up to probably 4oz on it and had no issues. It'll cchuck a 68 special a long ways. I didn't catch any fish but it does feel to be stiff enough to handle jig hooked baits but it made my Savage Gear shine glides dance pretty nicely.

I have a couple that are the same way. Hasn't been an issue but if needed, could always pinch the barb down on the inserted hook point.
