  1. Yeah im sure it did but just for future models they use bass wood and the profile is a lot more rounded. Swim bait making is a fun craft keep at it
  2. the mother is alot more rounded at the top which may effect the swim. Just an idea for future changes
  3. if youre really into the idea of large frogs just make a mold of the bait yourself and invest in some plastisol or any other form or rubber. Silicon would be more durable but more expensive. In th long run it ould save you money and you would be able to tweak the bait to get exactly what you want
  4. Fish 30 acre is working on a soft shad glide as well
  5. Almost any swimbaits not picky. Im looking for the most beat up hard swimbaits you guys got. I do a lot of bait repair so if you have anything really beat up and cheap I'm all ears. Even if its snapped in half that's probably fine. Thanks
  6. the brand I listed has been fine for me but i usually store mine in a bait wrap. you can just do a small sample size for an old crankbait or something and test which brands you like best and what works best with your application. lacquer does rect fairly bad through so I wouldn't recommend lacquer spray for the most part
  7. you can just buy some matte automotive clear coat and a spray gun. You can get a decent one for under $50 and the Rustoleum automotive clear for fairly cheap. If you're not into getting a whole setup and just need to clear a few baits the USC rattle can spray is really great option and will probably be the least trouble applying evenly like a lot of people have trouble with when using epoxy unless you have a rotisserie or disco ball motor etc. and you wont have to deal with the costs of a whole spray gun set up
  8. Adding silicon tails. Found out that some colored silicon baking sheets work great. But finally got this thing to swim right after a year of tweaking. Really smooth and slow with a ton of wobble on the pause

    Smallmouth anyone?

Hey you got the dale hollow reservoir down there that holds quite a few records
  10. Yeah man I think that broke 5 for you. Great fish

    Smallmouth anyone?

Had an 8-9" perch down her throat when I caught her too. Greedy fish

    Smallmouth anyone?

21.5 x 16 5.86lbs. Really cool location too. Not my biggest ever but my biggest on a swim bait by far and my biggest on scale. Lost a walleye over 10lb's maybe a teener that day too but oh well. The tiny klash is an amazing bait for sure
  13. I would just throw a tiny clash. Almost broke 6 for a small mouth on one this year and its beeen a really consistent bait for catching smallmouth. Check out swimbait Canada too they have a lot of info on this
  14. How likely are you guys to buy from a fairly unknown bait maker say on instagram. I notice a lot of people buy baits for the hype around the bait so just curious as to how outgoing ya'll are around new bait makers. I've seen quite a few and been very interested but never puled the trigger.
  15. No one seems to mention the Islide 262t. Which is fine its a fairly unused bait that gets bit really well if you're willing to put the time to get to know it. Depends on your location and the fish you're targeting mainly. Some bodies of water respond better to an aggressive far gliding i slide while other lakes those fish may respond better to a slow True Garage Swimbaits glide etc. Its hard to go wrong with a bait if you have trust in the swim and can control the bait to get the fish to trigger.
  16. This isn't advisable unless you want to break your A rig, lose baits and not catch any fish. Stick to a double rig if you want more than 1 big bait. However if you're around schooling perch etc some smaller swim baits like the 68's or even some of the smaller live target ones as their lighter you might be able to get away with that without wasting your time and losing baits
  17. Anyone who is passionate about their craft will defend it when necessary so if you look at it that way it could be construed as differently by some people. Depends on how the people addressed him to begin with so without the full story I wouldn't make any judgments. My only advice with 3:16 is stick to the soft baits and go catch some fish
  18. I dont care how beat up it is as long as it works. if u cant pm email fishhct@gmail.com. Thanks for the help if you got it, need to stay busy post surgery when I cant fish
  19. That tail could be problematic
  20. This is a brand new custom painted 10" Slow sink TT. Pearlized purple back, light trout. Custom eye replacement as well to match the paint. Asking $125, Pm offers or text (203)-819-6824
  21. Worth trying. Took me about 2 years to be able to dial the balancing for body shape but it's worth the wait
  22. the weedless rigged megabass magdraft is ridiculously good in weeds or rock bottom
  23. Yeah don't worry about it, it was from the batch of sport models that he discontinued because of lack of fluidity between speeds so it's more of a prototype. It's not even mine anyways I painted it for a friend
  24. It's not even 8"...... just look up 3:16 freestyle herring instead of being sarcastic about it
