    I have a Dobyn’s Champion XP 908 that I think is perfect for throwing 250’s. It’s a little over your budget but not by very much. Bad to the bone rod.

    Have a nearly brand new in the box Mother that i’ve only thrown for a few casts. Determined that it was too large of a bait for my equipment.     - casted off an OG 250 Keta Bass (30 lb.Berkeley Big Game Mono is crap) - snagged a newer version 250 on a deep snag. - cast off a Balam 300 when I first got into fishing large Swimbaits. Got too aggressive whipping the rod while casting. Live and learn. -lost my first MS Slammer on it’s first fishing trip with me last weekend. Stupidly cast it into a thick pocket of forest that is unattainable by boat or foot, while fishing at night in near zero visibility. Knew the area well but cast a little too far to the left, into the trees. Broke my heart!

    I love this knot. Together with Sunline 30lb fluoro i’ve been able to launch my 250 really far without worries of snapping the line.

    I use a Dobyns 908 with a Calcutta Conquest 400 with the 5.6 gear ratio and absolutely love it! I’ve used a Tranx300 on the same rod and the line didn’t come off the reel anywhere near as smooth as the 400. Also, I am using 30lb Sunline Fluoro to help mitigate casting off expensive lures like these 250’s, Hinkle,etc. it gives me added peace of mind and with this combo i’m able to launch 250’s really far distances with ease. I HIGHLY recommend this combo for 250’s.

    I’d go swimming. Go to buy some snorkeling gear if you don’t already have some. Look at the bright side, at least you don’t live in gator country.

    When a seller can not provide a picture of what they are selling,especially a really high end swimbait like the Hinkle, that’s a red flag for me. I hate scammers.
