Made the usual parallel casts on a community dock on south end of a lake in Nc. Decided to pick it apart more and pitched my 250 in individual boat slips and this came out and nailed it head first. Would not of caught this fish if I didn't have a head hook.

Depends on what bait you wanna throw but u can get a decent amount of 17lb flouro for hard baits 15 lb izorline for soft swimbaits

If you are a fan of Greg blanchard on YT I took his setup idea in using that solid aluminum arm from ram mount and a ram ball mount then u can mount it anywhere u have a track mount. I go 4-5 mph with just my pedal drive and it doesn't come loose but it will sometimes turn ur boat when ur drifting.

Boiling it makes the plastic softer just hang it and let cool but yes adding a nail weight will give the tail more wag bc it has more momentum.

Even a spotted bass will choke that 12/0 beast hook I definitely fish the bait harder and in more places with this mod still has same head wobble
