    DRT Ghost

I got mine for 200$ new w/extras. search around on offerup/FB and youll find one for a good price. theres a Queen Ghost close to me right now at 215 or somthing.
  4. if you do decide on the 908, it's a great rod, + a pretty common "hack" is to look for them used on offerup/fb marketplace. They're at the length that nobody wants to ship them and lots of people start out with the 908, and upgrade to a custom rod later on, i bought mine that was almost new for 150. if you do pick one up, IMO Just save it for the ghost/mother, I dont own a mother but ive thrown my 250 and ghost with it, but I use my LDC H for the 250, just seems more suited for it.
  5. Nice one, I think i saw you out there a few weekends ago, by the buoy line/water intake. therve been a bunch in that cookie cutter 7.5lb but thin range recently.

    DRT Ghost

What are your guys go-to modes, i picked up a ghost a few days ago and i've been fishing it hard, only getting followers (i've been thinking about maribu trebles?) any tips would be appreciated.
  7. Musky are awesome, thanks for not giving them a mud bath, like some SB anglers.
  8. dobyns also makes a 3pc line, the Kaden series. if you can find a similar taper to the champ 806/807 that would be my recommendation. megabass is overrated imo. I only own 2, and I've had issues with QC. if you can find one for cheap that's great, but they are overpriced especially if you buy from a US dealer. Most japanese rods (made in Japan or not) can be found on websites, like JDM TACKLE HEAVEN, DIJITAKA, ect for 50-100 dollars cheaper.
  9. Yes the 7'8" I wouldn't throw anything more on it than a k9, but it doesn't feel like its going to explode on me.
  10. I'll post some photos later today, it was on OfferUp.
  11. I have a MB valkyrie H, and I wouldn't recommend it for any soft baits, but Its great for the K9, and under, great TK rod too.
  12. also it looks like the original guide it still there, with a little heat you can re-use that one.
  13. If you are heating up the tip for the glue make sure the blank doesn't get too hot I had a rod that I brought to local shop and they either got it too hot or didn't do something right and the next time I brought it out it broke again right at the junction to the blank. I would recommend getting a higher quality guide too, fuji guides like the ones they use on the LDC rods aren't too expensive for a better guide than the Ozark trail ones.
