Got to go out fishing at lake Perris when a tournament was going on, a lot of fish up spawning but didn't see anything big so I just threw the usual big baits (hudd deluxe, triple trout, etc) and it was a tough day with not many people catching anything but the little spawners and the occasional better fish... I finally got bit after about 6 hours. First fish on the 250 and it turns out that would have been big bass for the tournament, figures that's what happens when you don't enter but fish anyway haha She came from submerged brush in about 6 feet of water near a spawning flat
