Jut Posted October 1, 2013 Report Share Posted October 1, 2013 Cant wait to get up to New York and Erie. I fly fish for them but i want to see if i can stick one on the 316 shad and 6" trout. I watched a brown eat a steelhead smolt one time,and caught a steelhead with a smolt in its belly about 8" long. we fly fished for em... there are all sorts of rules and regs using single hooks and stuff on this river... but trying out the 316 in like the harbors/river mouths and stuff would be sick... unreal finding a 8" smolt in that steelies gut... I cant even imagine that... we had to let our trout go because they wernt in season but kept the kings... I didn't even think to look in their stomachs... woulda been cool!
