Fried Lemons
It’s been 7 long years since my last pb of 7 pounds 4 ounces on a crankbait. I picked up swimbaits with the goal of breaking that pb which I had been trying to do conventionally for 3 years at that point. After several missed opportunities last year, today I made it happen. I wanted to take advantage of the clear skies and steady 10 mph north wind that I knew would place fish in predictable areas of the lake. Sure enough I was dead walking a TK over some wood and this fish crunched it. Horrible board pic, fish was 23” and thick around the tail. manansalsa, Mossyback Angler, CG_Fishes and 15 others

acwatkins
As a fellow Marylander I can respect the work it takes to get a fish like that. My pb went 7-0 about 10 years ago. Haven’t even broke 6 since, but have 2 at 5-13 lol. Congrats man you earned it! Fried Lemons and JustAnotherHookerInDC 1

I believe there are fish of this caliber in many of our smaller lakes, they just get so pressured that it’s rare for them to slip up. I go hard this time of year because it seems like most guys don’t start fishing for bass until they start showing up on beds and they’ve gone all winter without seeing a lure for the most part. Keep grinding and I’m sure you’ll get one. JustAnotherHookerInDC
