Where’s the drool emoji?!?! Haha!  Sick setup man!!! How do you like that rod?!

Haha. Love it.

Its light, balances well (even tho I don't really care about balance like I used to), its not too long for my liking at 7'8".  The taper seems to excel with treble baits in the 2-3oz range which it the majority of what I use (TiKs, Deka Dodge, Nekosogi XXX SS etc.....).  It can handle single hook plastics like the Citizen 6 but I prefer something stiffer to really set home the hook but you could use it, I'd probably go braid for that tho.

Roman Made Centurion Mind - Breast

6.2 Shimano Bantam MGL w/100mm Varial handle

20# Big Game (This will change soon)

What are your thoughts on the Bantam with big baits? I love mine but I just use it for mainly jerk baits and lighter stuff. Such a small reel, do you feel it has the grunt/capacity to fish 20lb? Sick setup either way.

I think it has JUST enough line capacity for 20# test. I use 20# mostly because of the pike population up here in Canada and the TiK prices these days......the two don’t mix well! :-D I think I’m going to chance it and start using 16# or 17# soon tho.

I have no issues with the Bantam for 2oz lures which I mostly use but once you get up to 3oz it can handle it but I definitely notice my Ryoga is more comfortable in the 3oz range.

Here’s my two sticks! Northfork Composites 806 and 807. Calcutta 401 on the 807 and Shimano Exsence DC on the 806. Both reels have DRT 100mm Varial Handles.

The rods were built by me. Both have ALPS reel seats and spiral wrapped Fuji K-series guides.
