16 degrees when I left the house and the same when I got to the pond but there was about 35 feet of 1/2" ice the full length of the shore. So off to find an open pond. Now it is 18 degrees and the boat is in. Water coming in the boat thru a very small hole in one of the ribs in the back, to bad im fishing. In a while it froze over and stopped leaking.

I down sized my gear and had to be careful with the ice in the guides and reel. Tied on the SS hyper herring and bang. Only bass and a couple of pickerels.

This quote here says it all!

Way to work it in the cold - the ice in the guides and reel is a pain, isn't it.
