You’d be surprised what that reel can handle. I’ve caught huge striper in heavy current on that reel with no issue. It handles fish up to 50 lbs in the salt.

Mine broke down after 8 hrs of light salt use. My second one made it two sessions. They have a bad reputation in the socal salt. I hear it is great as a freshwater reel, but I only fish salt
