First Day Of Summer and a Good One

Got up late this AM and almost didn't go fishing. Glad I decided to go. Got on the water about 9 and started workin the Pats Perch and ended up with a dink. This pond has a ton of Pond Shiners so I tied on a Realprey Med sink Modded BB rigged G2 Shiner in natural yellow. Was working coontail by ticking the bait off the tops in about 6FOW. I felt the fish inhale the bait and when that happens its usually a good one. She pulled like a horse and really put a bend in my Dobyn's 867 so I knew then it was a good one. Got her in the net and she was a beauty, fat and thick and with a full belly, no post spawn envelope here. Put her on the scale and it bottomed out at 7lbs 6 oz's. 2nd week in a row with a 5 plus so I hope the crappy luck I had this spring has ended.

Nice fish Chuck, Real Prey has a good line of lures that go a bit unnoticed. I picked up a bunch this past winter, and, like em all. Especially the "Golden Shiner", which is, as all us Mass boys know, one of the natural food sources here. GO MASS !!!!! ;):) P.S. - stay in the West side with yours & I'll stay in Central with mine....
