asterik216
So I am thinking I want to pick up a 250. I have rods that could throw it I suppose but it would really be at there limits or even a bit over. I don't really know what rod would be best me. Also I really don't think I will be throwing to much of anything over what a 250 weighs at 6.5 oz so I would also like something a bit more versatile for the weight of baits I would be throwing. Ceaser
XH is a bad ass rod, especially the production for trebled baits. I can throw baits from 3-7ozs no problem, and the fish stay pinned. THe H will handle it to but I would prefer the XH
ShawnzeeD00d
I threw the 250 with the XH production it did well. I haven't used others but I can say the XH does work from 3:16 shads up to 10" triple trouts.
thedonnguyen
i can cast down to 2oz decently...below that i'm not too comfortable, which is why I ordered an H as far as the 250...the XH casts it like a dream, but i do know guys that throw in on the H...it's all just your comfort level
evans_usmc69
This fish made me use a XH or XXH parabolic when fishing the 250, all personal preference though. The H will definitely throw a 250 just fine, but I'd rather have more rod just in case one like this one bites
tcj
For sure the XH. Perfect rod for the
Bruce
xh or the xxh parabolic im with Travis More rod the better
asterik216
Ya I kind of figured as much with the XH. Thanks for the replies.
Bassindon69
Used them both. You are talking Production right? The XH is better. To much flex on the H but it will still work. You really have to use up the flex on the H or you won't cast far or fight the fish properly
urbanhick
I was tossing on the XH till I got a dobyn's 908.
SPEEDBEAD
Another vote for the XH Production. 8'6" just for a little more distance.
bassbass
I use my custom h but if I had to buy one just for the 250 it would be the xh

Maverickrod
Production or Custom XH. The XXH is too much rod for the 250 IMO.
