swimbaits_only
What's up SU, gonna be hitting the southern portion of the CA delta Saturday with a good buddy. Looking to see if anybody has any tips for the russos/ladds/franks tract area? Stripers and bass. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! Wil_watson
fished for stripers in franks before. we used big hammers, umbrella rigs, and hudds, all baits were worked higher in the water column fishing boils
surferdave
Was there a couple weekends ago. The water in Franks this time of year can be gin clear. Find surrounding sloughs with slightly more stained water and you'll find a better bite.
Bmlum
Ive been fishing sloughs around franks lately and they've been hitting the deps 250, s waver 200 and s waver 168 for swimbaits. Aside from swimbaits the jig bite is pretty good and slow top water too like punkers and spooks

Ceaser
well, russo and franks are the same place and ladds is pretty far from there. Also, neither one is in the South Delta. I wouldnt shy away from clear water.. or current.
nickh87
If you have a boat, I would try going to the docks on the south side of bethel island, can't really miss it (big fenced in area, was bought for housing development that went belly up in 2008, all the land is private property but the water is public, just don't dock anywhere). Had great success when me and my friends used to sneak in there from the road before the police started doing patrols of the area.

zyangoutdoors
Stay up north if you want stripers.. As far as bass.. there's plenty of good spots there.. franks or big break...
zyangoutdoors
The bigger stripers haven't made their way far down by ladds yet...
Bmoney
IMO if looking for strippers stay near the main river if headed west of franks, mouth of little connection, moklelumne, potato slough. Always keep an eye out, and keep moving.
