ISO_the1
Anyone else notice "popped bubbles" in the paint jobs on the new baits along the gill plate and pectoral fins???

Top Ramen
My three don't have that but I wouldn't really care anyway. They're going to end up chewed. : ) Edited August 16, 2016 by Top Ramen fishaholic211, ISO_the1 and evilcatfish

MA Frog Man
The ones I've have have had that. I thought some were maybe hooks points but not on brand new ones. Honestly that's the prime spot for hook rash anyway. If you're going to fish them they're going to get trashed in those spots anyway like top ramen said fishaholic211
MoparMagnolia
Looks like fisheyes.. they happen after clearcoat settles. Since working on cars, sometimes the body work underneath has almost undetectable pinholes, and they don't show until it's too late. The bait mold may have had some air bubbles when it set? Not much you can do about them, other than dabbing in clear and wet sanding and buffing smooth.. Lots of work for a bait that I'm thinking will get used a ton anyway ^^^
BigSlant
Idk..they looks like in the resin not the paint..just bubbles popping
ISO_the1
the trout and redhead aren't too bad...but the disco looks used just curious if its a common thing or if it could lead to future problems with paint condition
swole_t
Most of my 3 16 hard baits have had that. Although I haven't seen one as bad as that white one. But I probably wouldn't worry about it. I always just fished them anyways, it's just cosmetic and doesn't matter if you plan on fishing them. fishaholic211
Ceaser
its just pinholes in the resin that didnt get filled on the glaze coat. the fact that they are open is good really, no air trapped to bubble paint off. those are minor minor imperfections, i have had that on 316 and other baits, especially ones with nice details carved in. MarkH024
Fish it and it will have the that pretty half moon hook rash soon. Then you'll never know fishaholic211
Northeast Bassin
Like everybody said, that's where the hook rash is going to be, so it won't even matter.
