SPEEDBEAD
Anyone have a pic of the chain link setup people drag for baits? Swimming yielded nada...
deaknh
Ive seen a setup where a chain link fence is dragged behind a small tractor to "rake" loam. you might have better luck googling a pic of that.

hookedup
I remember seeing a pic where the dude had a link maybe 2'x4' and he attached weight to each corner to get it down. Attached rope to two corners so it would drag evenly. Seems like an easy concept, good luck.
Willluvstafish
Does this actually work? Looks like a good investment if it does.
Volfan
4x4 of chain link. Rebar attached along top of back edge with zip ties or pipe cinch. Cariibiner at each front edge to attach rope/chain Tuco and Gavin721
Top Ramen
I would think you could just run bars through each side and weld them in. Weld clips for the rope and you're done.
innova
I recently made one but it was foldable/compact b/c I had to store it in my kayak cockpit. Running out the door now but if interested I can post some photos/how I made it. All the materials were about $30~.
Craig
What about using netting? Same ability to catch a hook but much easier to roll up.
Gavin721
4x4 of chain link. Rebar attached along top of back edge with zip ties or pipe cinch. Cariibiner at each front edge to attach rope/chain ive saved hundreds of dollars in baits by doing pretty much the exact same thing as this

Volfan
casted off like a rookie or snagged? Don't matter, works the same. #braiddontlie
mx4life14
You could try tire chains. With a rope on either end and drag em. Thats what I've tried.
SPEEDBEAD
casted off like a rookie or snagged? Bumped the reel handle on the cast and engaged the reel. LOL Dragging did not produce the bait.
hoohoorjoo
Provided the water is warm enough, I have retrieved baits by just taking a swim lol. I keep a mask with me at all times. No sense leaving money on the botom of the lake. Of course, we can swim here about 8 months out of the year without hypothermia being a factor.
