Ceaser
I use the skip cast when fish are feeding up top or chasing bait. I have success getting it back into cover also, but when bass are chasing bait on the surface, skipping your bait across the feeding zone is very effective, they will eat it before you can even get the reel engaged. bigpoppabass
northeast_trev
Wrs stands for weedless rising son? Yeah. All depends on the flick. My WRS tend do more of a slide than a bunch of skips. SPEEDBEAD
Rising son and a Hudd will skip like champs. The smaller RS is about as easy to skip as a senko on a spinning rod. bigpoppabass, jmftattoo and waynem
jmftattoo
funny this topic comes up. i skip weedless rago's all the time because my small home lake is primarily a dock lake. thats where you're gonna find em 9 out of 10 times. so i ended up putting together a vid about it. bigpoppabass and R8R

bigpoppabass
I think the Matt's deadstick will skip well too, it has that same front insert feel the small gen 1 baitsmith trout had.
billyo
Real Prey Joe’s alewife is my favorite but with a little practice Joe’s Golden Shiner is also good, got this LM skipping it into a lay down last spring in Match right at ice-out. californiacatcher
I feel it also really depends on what reel you're using too. What reels do you guys like using for this technique?
