Jetfisherjohn
This may be a off the wall thing to ask but I thought I'd reach out before I went and spent money.. I fish from the bank. I have a 10' Jon boat that I do put on some of my ponds I fish but not all. I don't have a fish finder. I don't have a deeper smart sonar or anything like that.. So besides buying a small thermometer and tying a sinker and bobber to it and casting it around in the water... Are there any other way I could determine water temp from the bank? tckwilson
You could buy one of those handheld infrared temp sensors from Home depot or Lowe's for around 20 bucks. Just put the red dot on the water and you get a digital readout of the temp
williamsaaron5280
Pool thermometer. Picked up one for 10 bucks. It's digital and reads quick.
bigpoppabass
Minn Kota has a small handheld with a long wire sensor attached you can throw into the water. You want a bottom reading especially in spring. Top water temp can be deceivingly high. basskickinrednick and Jetfisherjohn
