I didnt really try to catch a bass on it, I just wanted to fiqure out the action of the bait and how to fish it. Well after 5 cast I already had 3 followers so I decided to keep fishing it and on my 8th cast I had this smallmouth follow it. He hit the lure 2 other times until he finally got the hooks, he was the most aggressive follower I ever had. I had 7 followers that day and 6 of them were smallmouth​ so I have to agree with you there. I'm thinking of trying out the 168 size for a better hook up ratio.
