HelpMePickABobber
Searched and found rod info but not much talk about reels. I'm not very comfortable with round reels and would prefer to stick with a low profile. Any info and/or suggestions are appreciated.
massbass10
If you want a lo pro reel try a tranx 400. You can get away with a 300 size reel like a curado 300 or tranx 300. The tranxs are all realy nice reels. A 400 size is best but you can use a 300 carefully. HelpMePickABobber and Tigerswood
HelpMePickABobber
Thanks man. Tranx 400 is one of the reels I was looking at. I just don't want that stupid power handle.
Ceaser
400 lexa handles my 11.5oz baits just fine HelpMePickABobber
massbass10
You can get one and just change the handles out or you could buy one used with the paddle handles. The shimano made handle is 40$ so its not too bad. Honestly tho unless you have used it and don't like it the power handle isnt that bad. You get used to it pretty fast (FOR ME). ScummyBadger
I have thrown a mother on a tranx 400hg with the power handle switched out for a double paddle. Gets the job done for sure. HelpMePickABobber

thedonnguyen
Honestly, going from the Lexa 400 to the conquest 400 was a game changer for me. Hold one in your hands and you’ll feel the difference. Much more comfortable in my opinion Lewisr23, Tigerswood, BASS_SWINGER and 1 other
