Sciaramitaro
The tip of my LDC xxh met the door of my truck yesterday and completely snapped off the top 1" of my rod. I'm waiting on a replacement tip right now, but does anybody know a rod builder that could replace it once the tip comes in? I know I could probably do it myself but I'd like to get it done correctly and I don't really have the time to tinker with it. Thanks SU
zsneezes
I'm not sure how far you are from southern NH you are but I had something similar happen to a spinning setup a few years ago.. Joe at Granite State Rod & Reel Repair did a good job fixing it and it didn't take long. bigpoppabass, Willluvstafish, azsouth and 1 other
jcolo4sho
The rod will never be the same if its more than just the tip that broke. Someone will have to rewrap it and epoxy. If its just the tip, it's a super easy fix. Sciaramitaro
MA Frog Man
Do you want it rewrapped or just epooxied and put back on? Sane tip size might not fit if an inch broke off
Sciaramitaro
I just need it epoxied back on...I'm gonna lose about 1/2" on the rod but oh well
Dsouth
I just need it epoxied back on...I'm gonna lose about 1/2" on the rod but oh well I miss that rod, should be an easy fix if only a 1†broke off. jcolo4sho
I would rewrap and epoxy and it shouldn't change a thing on the performance, it will just be thicker in that area. This was it's a forever fix and looks fine. Good luck. If you don't have it fixed by the time you come back to AZ, my guy Gene will fix her up perfect for like $20.
