Absolutely.Try testing the sink rate in room temp water if you have the option.Fill a tub.Not the best but they should sink slow enough that you can get a decent idea of sink rate.Not sure how cold it is out by you but water temp does have an effect.Was it faster sinking or slower than you expected? I guess something about the waters density changes with the temperature? And with XSS baits or suspending baits that can be all the difference.
