StriperAddict
Hey SU community I need some help/advice. Im thinking of fishing some tourneys and for sure heading up for the BABC swimbait shootout but my livewell is very basic and does not recirculate fresh water. I dont want to have any issues and most of all dont want to kill any fish. So has anyone fixed or redone livewell pump systems on the older trackers? This one only has an inlet and a drain at the bottom of the tank. It fills and drains fine but no recirculation. Will I need to install anorher pump and drill more holes in the tank or hull? Thanks everyone in advance for any help you can give. danthefisherman
Dirty Diesel
I have a 78 Glastron with a basic livewell setup. I don’t fish tournaments or anything but sometimes we put fish in the livewell to take pictures at the end of the day. I just pull the plug out and let the pump run every so often StriperAddict

hydrocephalic
My tracker had the same system. I ended up cutting a little rubber out of the bottom plug and leaving it in loose so water would constantly drain. Ghetto, and the carpet got wet at times, but worked. You could try to put a PVC pipe into the drain that goes straight up to near the lid of your livewell that will passively drain any water through it once the water level reaches the top of the tube. That's essentially how some aquarium filters work. Edited April 10, 2019 by hydrocephalic StriperAddict
