Anybody else have a problem with really bad hook rash on the DRT klash9? This is my first one and I’ve fished it only once since it came out of the box but almost half the paint is gone already and we haven’t even hooked up yet. The Klash is much more aggressive in nature than most of my other glide baits so hook rash was bound to happen eventually but within the first outing I’m pretty surprised tbh. My other glide baits have no signs of wear other than some teeth marks haha anyway just curious if I got some kind of defect or if it’s a common thing.

I have a pro blue Tk and I have had a similar experience. My fishmonster tk has a 10x more durable paint job. Pro blue is just thin and flaky. I’ve heard baitfish color is garbage too.

Certain patterns were made better than others. The paint/coat on the matte bass pattern is hella good. my TK has caught me over a dozen fish and still looks good. Here's a throwback picture to the good old days when baits had true prices and not this double retail selling price crap.

Yes has happened with that exact color . I recommend wrapping it with realistic wraps if you wanna change it up in the Future

They swim/float differently after being wrapped. Be careful with that.

Holy crap! You’re telling me. I’ve been trying to buy some half decent swimbaits but anything worthwhile is either nonexistent in the marketplace or marked up 2 or 3x its retail. I can’t even catch a break on soft baits. Trying to a couple wcz baits or something with a similar profile that I can fish confidently and they’re even being flipped for double...
