Jesus every forum i visit theres always crap goin on from this dude , some provoked and some not . Iv been on the sideline long enough so heres MY opinion . You dont want your reel super tuned thats fine . Dont do it ! Dont go out and bash G and say its a scam . When i machine steel on a lathe i use a coated carbide cutter . Why ? Because it makes the chips come off a ish load easier when machining harder steels and what does that mean ? Less heat !!! And that means better tool life , which means im spending a lot less money on buying another expensive tool ! IN MY OPINION the same thing applies to reels . Do i have any super tuned ? No but you bet your a** im going to when the funds are there ! Tight lines

He's not an elitist, he just talks like an elitist........

You guys are unbelievable. Still with this crap. Sound like a bunch of bickering old envious woman who can't afford the real thing so you cover it in vinyl. Here's an idea. Buy something good and you don't have to pimp it to make it feel real.

I tried to be civil but screw that. You guys want to play. Let's play. Luckily for you guys mommy isn't far away and can calm the nerves after getting your feelings smacked.

BTW, do you even know what an elitis is? The other emotional break down probably didn't and I doubt you do. Bought a new reel to get pimped or someone's no longer wanted and just got upgraded. Buy a 316 and sell a 3:16. Dam black market is a wannabe eBay. At least learn how to do it right. And what's the deal with all the peanut gallery out of the wood work garbage just because one of your fallen might have been scraped. Don't you guys know how to stand up for oneself or must there always be the typical tampon party must unite. Seriously, what in God's good name could I have possibly done that requires all this dumb abuse? What, me telling the truth that super tuning is a scam. Want a nice reel, go save up and buy one. Can't afford it, too bad. We don't all get what we want. No way does changing bearings and polishing a Cardiff turn it into a TE. No way. Want a TE then go buy it. Have a TE, don't sell me some crap that tuning it is going to make it better. Only in the mind of the one who wants to believe that. I have Zs and Pluton that were upgraded with better spool bearings and they didn't get better. Smooth enough as is so why would I super tune it. The tuner himself told me I was nuts for even considering it. There's another forum that only deals in tackle. These guys are tackle junkies to the max and they will tell you not to tune a Z or TE and once you get past a 1/4 oz there's no benefit in doing anything other than to pamper one's ego so they can go around saying they tuned their reels. Sound like guys that have no clue what you are talking about or the guy who buys a fake Rolex so he can look cool. Seriously. I tuned my reel therefore I'm so cool. Get a reality check. You fish. That's it. Not hitting home runs or scoring touch downs to impress the cheer leaders. You fish. That's it. And so do I but I don't go around saying I tuned my reel. Look at me. Or post pic after pic to prove I know how to catch a fish. It's a fish. Not brain surgery. Get it. Oh, this was directed at everyone that had a dumb comment to make today. Let me be clear. Everyone who made a dumb comment today. Want to play like children. Then be treated like children. Now go play with your fish while the elitis go to sleep knowing their garage is full of reels not in need of tuning. They are real reels and not soon to be pimped out wannabees. Nighty night. I'll read all the dumb replies in the morning while I'm taking my am crap. Might as well mix new crap with old crap I'm removing. Seem appropriate. Oh, wait I'm going to tune my butt so it craps smoothly and launches them 80 yards into the abys without a single strain or extra effort on my part. We can call it super tune ish.

Welcome to the Internet-enjoy your stay

Crap from this dude? There's a big Internet and I'm all over it. Seems only a few on this forum and the Nation seem to think I'm full of crap. And it seems to be the same group in both. Should tell you something.

Here's an I opener. We all have opinions and yet when one deviates from the vocal group they speak crap. The fact is others often don't care to hear anything different. Do you see it yet?

You think super tuning Swimbait reels intended to chuck 2oz plus baits require work than go of it. As stated previously. I don't. Think a Z needs to be smoother than it already is than go polish the gears. I don't. How exactly does one take one of the smoothest reels ever made and stated by many who have owned some of the smooth ever made and justify it needs to be smoother? Makes absolutely no sense but if that's your thing than go for it. Not me.

If you aren't trying to convert a Cardiff to a TE than what's the point? Why not just buy a TE? Can't afford a TE than just say this is your budget approach to getting the best you can. I'm good with that. We afford what we can and then we enjoy it as best we can. I wish I could afford a Ferrari but since I can't I'm not going to blue print the engine to make it sound like one.

My views and my opinions. As I often say, you don't have to agree with it and no one is asking you to but when others come on a public forum and attack me for having one then I must lash out and be brutally honest. Fair is fair. Don't want to get smacked then don't start slapping. Respect what another saids and leave it at that or debate the merits like grown ups without the dumb digs and rediculous comments. It's bad manners and shouldn't be tolerated. Won't be by me. Now, we can be civil or I can be brutally honest. Don't care one way or the other.

Oh, before I forget, I don't hover in the sidelines. I speak my mind and I have no qualms about it nor do I wait for a band wagon to jump on. I'm not led by others or encouraged by their actions. I'm my own leader with my own thought process and I don't care if I'm the only one sitting in my cart. I don't coward from stupidity or get bullied into being quiet. Sooner that's understood the sooner we can get along or not and have productive discussions to better the sport. Just remember its an opinion and we're all free to have them so attack the opinion and not the one delivering it. Besides, it's just a fish.

This wasn't just directed at you but all who feel the need to ride me or challenge my every move. I don't back down and I don't stay quiet. With me you get what you give, exponentially. Try being nice for a while and see how nice I can be. Otherwise, expect more super tune ish. ;)

Oh, and as far as coming out of the woodwork? Yeah, that's what people do when they are friendly with each other. You have the next guy's back if you see things the same way.

Amazingly, I have yet to see someone stand up and say anything in your defense.

I can accept that emotions are not accurately conveyed through internet postings, but your posts don't even have a hint of anything beneficial to me. You're right, I assume the worst until I'm proven wrong. Call me a skeptic.

To the OP, I'm sorry man. Hope you found all the info you needed amongst the extra stuff.

You do understand that another coming to my defense opens them up to the same childish BS I'm dealing with? Why would one put themselves into that mess? Also, it is the one's that complain that make the most noise. As if they must be heard.

No, you don't come out of the wood work to protect another like minded friend. That's childish and so grammar school. The appropriate thing is to let your like minded friend fight their own battles, if that's what they wish to do. Specially if they didn't ask for your recruit.

Grow up and act like a man. Men don't act like childish teenage girls drawing lines in the sand over who's likstick is the reddest. Men respect other's opinions and learn to debate the merits with facts or good opinions of their own versus going on a public forum and calling another out mob style. Men do what I'm doing. Standing up for themselves without the need for a peanut gallery.

Respect my opinions and I'll do the same. Go Romper room on me and I'll child up like the best of them. Except I don't quit. I don't back down. I don't stop what I didn't start.

I was the first to respond to the OP and there was zero need for the crap I got or the band wagon mentality that followed. I will not tolerate this stupidity. I have the right to express my opinion and if it is negative towards your friend then they can say what they like in defense. Stay out of it.

BTW, is this not a forum that refuses sponsorship because they don't want to be censored as is on the other one? Is there not some asinine thread about TW because the community refuses to have sponsors and yet you and your buddies have the audacity to question my opinion on a topic that I feel has zero place with swimbaits? Sounds rather hypocritical and lame.

We can end this now or go on forever. I don't care but I will not deal with anymore childish garbage. If you or another feels the need to test me then don't complain when I respond as I just did. I give what I get and then some. Be nice. Try it.

Gears are polished, bearings are upgraded and money spent to cast light lures. Not exactly something that may apply here.

My reply and the first to this thread.

And already rebuffed by a PROFESSIONAL.

I realize that you are entitled to an opinion, what you fail to realize is that your opinion is incorrect.
