danthefisherman Posted April 15, 2021 Report Share Posted April 15, 2021 Well I didn't relocate and catch my unofficial pb yet, but I caught a comparable one. I think I have a pretty good pattern figured out and have been able to capitalize on opportunities. The pond was even murkier than usual, but once that wind picks up there seems to be a pretty good bite window. I was about to make a long cast to the middle when I saw a disturbance next to the bank and a few shiners dart off. Tossed my new shad bait in and got slammed two twitches in. She measured a bit over 23 inches (derpy bottom jaw helped with the length ) and weighed 6.70lbs. Huge head, skinny body, and a pretty empty belly. If she was filled out like my unofficial pb, that would have been rad. Still, I'm not complaining!
