Eric Peterson
Anyone found a spray can clear coat that doesn't react with soft plastics? I know spraymax 2k would work but I'd prefer one that I can save easier.
danthefisherman
KBS diamond clear comes in a spray can. Not as durable as automotive and has an odor for a few weeks but it works well. azfisher
I've used Spraymax 1K clear for 250's and they have held up pretty well. I haven't used it on a hard bait tho and wear a respirator, it's bad. The spraycan has lasted a couple years without plugging up or "Going off". I like the Rustoleum for clearing a bait with flat finish but like everyone else has, I F'd up that bait and others when they come in contact with each other. I got one still a little gummy after a couple years from Rustoleum. Jinxd12, Eric Peterson and SVT THUNDER

Socalswimbait
Yeah I’ve used the rustoleum a good amount on personal baits. Funny thing some react to soft plastic some have not at all. Not sure why.
Eric Peterson
Yeah I've had issues with rustoleum as well. I'll get some spraymax 1k and give it a shot. I have some kbs spray but it has been terrible in my experience, maybe I need more coats or longer dry time. Thanks!
