119bowhunter Posted August 9, 2021 Report Share Posted August 9, 2021 Headed to the lake Saturday night for a few hours, had a good night caught about 25 all on a baby possum and a 9” slammer, but was very surprised when one of the fish ended up being a walleye. Ive done a fly-in trip near Kenora, Ontario a few times, love it up there but haven’t been since I got into throwing swimbaits...think I’d be pretty nervous throwing expensive baits around all those pike haha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lots of Northern Pike and Walleye in those waters too. From my (rudimentary) understanding, esox typically do not hunt much during the night. My vague / rough plan is for hard baits (glide, crankdown) with a toothy-resistant leader during the day, big Keitechs with no leader at night.
